Skippy: 15-year-old Skippy joined the Leashes End family in June 2024. His owner passed away and her grandson asked us to look after the old guy. Skippy was a burrower by night and a pacer by day. Every day, this short-legged sentry marches up and down the fence line on patrol. It’s a nervous habit that he shared with some of our other seniors, like Dori. At night, Skippy dove under the covers and pressed up against my feet! He was quiet and gentle and kept to himself … unless someone called walkies and then he was part and parcel of the pack. Sadly, Skippy passed away in July, 2024 shortly after we got him. No one realized how sick he had been. There’s no doubt that he’s back with his original owner in heaven. Rest peacefully, Skippy. May your memory be a blessing.
