Phineas
Phineas: On 14 September 2023, 15-year-old Phineas Poodle joined us from the Prince Georges County Shelter. Poor Phin had been stuck there since mid-August with dim prospects of adoption. Phin was quiet and apprehensive, so we eased him in slowly. We suspect that life prior to his arrival at Leashes End had been unkind to our poor boy Phineas. But he grew to enjoy off-leash walks on the grass outside, soft beds inside, and plentiful soft food. He trusted us a bit more with each passing day and even had the occasional bout of zoomies. Old Phin passed away a year after arriving at Leashes End. While we wish we could have enjoyed his company longer, we’re happy we were able to give him a final great year that he deserved. Rest easy, Phineas; may your memory be a blessing.
